Events

The function of this committee is to plan, organize, and coordinate at least two Alamance Artisan-sponsored exhibitions, shows and/or related events each year other than Art On The Vine. This committee will also inform and work with the Publicity Committee regarding the publicizing of scheduled events when appropriate.

Programs

The function of this committee is to develop, organize and coordinate presentation of programs for monthly meetings and workshops, field trips or other art-related activities throughout the year. Lynn and Susan will co-chair this committee and both will work on the various elements.

Publicity

The function of this committee is to handle external communications such as marketing, PR, interviews, brochure design and related materials other than Art On The Vine. This committee is also responsible for submitting a monthly article to the Arts Council newsletter and other publications as needed.  This committee will also compile a list of approved AAG members to give interviews as needed and will appoint a member of the Publicity Committee as the contact person to provide interview names to newspapers and other publications.  Publicity will also maintain a current file of images for submission to newspapers and other publications as needed.  

(NOTE: All promotional materials must be approved by the Publicity committee chair, the treasurer, the board liaison and the guild president and must be accompanied by a signed and dated approval form.  No funding for publicity materials will be released without proper approvals.)

Communications

The function of this committee is to oversee development and ongoing maintenance of the guild website and to facilitate the exchange of information to members, update the listserv and make sure members receive appropriate information in a timely manner.

Membership

The function of this committee is to maintain all membership materials, send new-member packets, distribute appropriate name tags, send dues renewal reminders and other activities associated with membership. This committee also functions in conjunction with the Communications Committee with regard to membership roster updates and maintenance.

Nominations

This is an ad hoc committee appointed each year to nominate members to replace the three board members whose terms expire at the end of each year.
